- 1½ cups water
- ¼ tsp salt
- ½ cup gluten free steel-cut oats (Irish oats)
- ½ cup mixed berries
- 6 almonds
- In a saucepan bring water to a boil.
- Add salt and the oats
- Cover and reduce heat to low.
- Cook stirring occasionally 10-20 minutes depending on desired texture and consistency.
- Remove from heat.
- Serve topped with berries and almonds.
Steel cut oats can be made the night before if time is an issue in the morning.
